Dancing in the Rain

I never want to get to the point that I can't dance in the rain. I always look forward to the first warm summer rain. Grayson and I go out and jump in the puddles and dance. It always puts a smile on our faces. I love the fact that he is always willing to follow me. We always have so much fun. It is a time I always want to share with him. He started saying things like look its raining outside lets go, don't worry we're waterproof... We have so much fun!!!

Rocks, Rocks, and More Rocks

I love that all it takes to keep Grayson busy for a day is a river and a pile of rocks. His favorite thing to do is throw rocks in the water. It is the one thing he never gets sick of. I love watching him test his strength and try and pick up boulders. He never seems to get that they are bigger then he is. Bob always seems to know when we need a break from the real world and takes us up to a place where nothing matters but us. I love watching the amazement on his face every time he gets a big splash, or picks up a big rock. His new thing this time was to tell me how strong he is every time.I am so glad Bob knows how to make things better when we have had a bad day. I am also so blessed to have a kiddo that is so easy to please.

The End of Kindergarten...

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Well, we have made it through yet another school year. Grayson just graduated kindergarten from the Pingree Center. He has accomplished so much this year. I am so glad we have a place like Pingree to help us navigate through the world of autism. Grayson is using sentences now and reading so well. His teachers where so amazing this year and we are so glad he has them again for first grade. It makes me both happy and sad for the year to end. Happy because I see how far he has come this year. playing with friends, using short sentences, pretending, and answering questions. But sad because I also see how far we still have to go. I can't wait for the day I can have a back and forth conversation with him. I know it will be soon but, it seems like I have waited such a long time already. I also see him around kids his age and see how far behind he is. I love him so much and wouldn't trade him for anything. He is such a great kid and works so hard everyday to learn things that come easy to most. He is and will always be my biggest HERO. I feel like he teaches me more then I could ever teach him. I love you so much Grayson. Thank you so Much to everyone at Pingree, you are truly part of our family. We love you!

Walk Now for Autism 2009

Thank you Grandpa Bateman, Natalie, Brett, Julie, Nathan, Melissa, Shell, Cody, Lexi, Zach, Nick, Sydney, Tommy For all the love and Support

We had such a blast at the walk this year. Rain or shine our family all came out to show Grayson how much we love him and how proud of him we are. It was so great to get all the support and love from our family. It means so much to know that they all care enough to tough out the bad weather and walk with us. The walk is such a great cause and very close to our hearts. I am so glad there are things like Autism Speaks to help us and others like us. Thank you so much to everyone around us for all your support it means more then you'll ever know. We are so lucky to have the family we have.

Autism Night at Real

We had so much fun at the Real Autism Night on April 25. Grayson got to meet the lion and play on the field. We are so glad we have the opportunity to participate in activities like this. Grayson was so happy to get to play. It rained all night but, that didn't stop our Real boys from winning 6-0 against New England. They are so awesome!!! Thank you to everyone that helped make the night so much fun.
